The Canadian Agri-Food Automation and Intelligence Network (CAAIN) is building Canada’s agricultural technology ecosystem by

Connecting agribusinesses to academia and other research providers including technology companies. In so doing, we will effectively be…

Creating the country’s first comprehensive agtech network investing in research and innovation, which will lead to higher productivity, enhanced value, and a more robust agri-food sector. This in turn will create jobs, expand domestic and international markets, and improve food security. In a word, we are…

Cultivating key relationships by hosting industry events, supporting the development of a nationwide smart farm network, encouraging stakeholder adoption of emerging technologies, and facilitating the generation of new ideas, thereby starting the innovation cycle all over again.

Connect (There’s that word again!) with us on LinkedIn and Twitter and by joining the Canadian Agri-Food Automation and Intelligence Network. Membership is free. Simply fill out the form by clicking here.

Why join?

Glad you asked.

This is an opportunity to share ideas, hear about funding opportunities, and connect (Sorry. Can’t help ourselves!) with like-minded professionals interested in advancing Canada’s agriculture and food sectors.

To begin with, we’ll set up our members to receive our monthly agri-food innovation news digest, our quarterly newsletter, and discounted access to online and—eventually!—in-person events. Down the road, when we build our new online portal, we’ll offer you the opportunity to integrate you into an interactive map of Canada’s agri-food ecosystem. You’ll also be plugged in to an online agriculture and food innovation and research hub that will allow you to interact and build relationships with individuals and organisations whose products, services, and activities align with yours.

Finally, you’ll have access to the high-level catalogues of the intellectual property and data developed by our funded projects, providing you with insight into what kind of agri-food technological advances are coming and maybe, just maybe inspiring you to come up with or support the next great idea.
